Kevin George

Kevin George grew up in Wales. After getting a degree in Engineering, he worked as a research and development engineer for a couple of years before embarking on a singing career that would eventually take him on an international adventure, and introduce him to a lifestyle and wonderful people he could only dream of as a boy growing up in a little Welsh village. After years of headlining as a cabaret entertainer, settled in California twenty years ago with his partner. Kevin is very passionate about serving on the Board of Directors of INSPIRE CCM for the following reasons:
When five years ago Kevin’s partner suffered four strokes and its many debilitating complications, Kevin found himself thrust into a world he knew nothing about. A world of hospitals, doctors, medicine, insurance companies, and most importantly “a world of advocacy!” In the ensuing years his partner was to become hospitalized many times, spending lots of time in the ICU.

It became very apparent how important it was for patients in the ICU to have an advocate, either a loved one or close friend whom could be trusted to make the appropriate decisions based on medical requirements and doctors recommendations. What is the best for the patient?

It was whilst in the ICU that Dr Hadian came into Kevin and his partners’ lives. Towards the end when there was nothing more that doctors or indeed medicine could do for Kevin’s partner, Dr Hadian became an “angel of mercy”, and due to her compassion and sensitivity, she was able to help Kevin’s partner on “his journey to heaven with grace and dignity”, at the same time giving strength to family and loved ones, and a profound feeling that after a very brave fight for life, his partner was finally at peace!
