Stephanie E. Freeman, MD, MBA

Dr. Freeman a Board certified internist and intensivist (Critical Care Medicine specialist) with extensive experience working in the ICUs of both university-based and community hospitals. She graduated from the University of Alabama, School of Medicine in 2000. She then completed an Internal Medicine Residency and Geriatrics Fellowship at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, before joining the Multi-disciplinary Critical Care Training Program (MCCTP), as a clinical fellow of the Department of Critical Care Medicine, University of Pittsburgh Medical Center (UPMC) in 2004. She then went on and received her MBA in 2010 from the Physician’s Executive MBA Program at Auburn University.
Dr. Freeman served on the Rapid Response team Committee at UPMC, and has practiced in the Intensive Care Units of both tertiary care and smaller community hospitals throughout the country and currently resides in Houston Texas. She is intimately familiar with the strengths and weaknesses of different models of the delivery of care in the ICU and their impacts on patients outcome and is an invaluable member of the INSPIRE CCM team of Experts on the subject of quality improvement measures in the ICU to deliver the standard of care to all the critically ill uniformly and cost-efficiently through multi-disciplinary team approach led by Critical Care specialist.
